How To: Tag People in Reminders to Get Alerts When Chatting with Them in iOS 13's Messages App
While iOS 13 might be making waves for some of its more prominent features — most notably system-wide dark mode — the real story here may lie with its smaller, unannounced updates. One of those updates is a new Reminders setting to tag contacts in a reminder. That way, you'll be pinged when texting that person in Messages.This feature will come in handy for a variety of reasons. If you need to ask a friend a question later in the day — which always poses a risk of forgetting — you can tag your friend in a quick reminder. When you inevitably go to text that friend about your day, or when you open up your conversation to read what they have to say, Reminders will jog your memory "right then and there," as Apple states.Don't Miss: How to Download & Install iOS 13 Right Now Thanks to Reddit user crsrdtr, we can see the process in action. In iOS 13, you can enter a reminder's settings to see a new "Remind me when messaging" toggle. When you tap the slider to engage the feature, you get an option to tag one of your contacts. Once you do and tap "Done" to confirm the setting, the reminder will show a banner notification once you open your message thread with that contact.
