News: Google Play Store Lets You Know What's New About Your App Updates

If you haven't heard yet, Google is revamping the Play Store with version 8.0. While it so far doesn't seem to have any life changing features, there are ones that certainly will make your life easier, like their new updates feature.A few months ago, Google Play launched a new tab specifically for updates in the 'My apps & games' section of the store. This shows all of the apps that you might have on your Android phone and keeps up with which have recently been updated, and which still need updating. Now, Google is seeking to improve on the tab by adding inline change logs to the tab.Once you are in the updates tab, a little downward facing arrow will now appear next to the big 'UPDATE' button. If you press that, a log will be pulled down that says 'What's New' and provides you with a description of the newest updates in your apps. Images by Dallas Thomas/Gadget Hacks This is a welcome change from what you previously had to do to find out about the changes any updates brought. Users would have to go to the app's listing page to find out about the latest update. The update makes it much easier in that all of the information you need to know about the changes made to your apps are in one place. The Google Play Store has shown more and more that they are trying to get on the same level as the App Store. The specific tab for updates has been available with Apple for a while now, though it's not quite as organized as Google Play seems to be.Version 8.0 of the Google Play Store has not rolled out everywhere yet, so it might be a bit before you see this change. However, if you can't seem to wait you can download it now through APKMirror.
